Courts

Pennsylvania Courts have the power to expunge our clean your record.  Regardless of whether you have successfully completed a first time offender program, succeeded in getting your charges reduced or dismissed in court or received a pardon from the Govenor of Pennsylvania, an expungement or cleaning of your record is not automatic.

Paperwork or a filing is still required in Pennsylvania in order to get a ”Order” or directive in writing that can be served on the police and anyone else that is maintaining a record of your charges or criminal history.  In Pennsylvania, that filing occurs in the county in which the charges or incident originally occurred.  There are 67 counties in Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia County and each county has its own procedures for the filing of an expungement petition.
